Diabetic Strips and Meters for Plan Year 2010

Scott & White Health Plan understands the challenges of living with diabetes. We also understand how important it is to monitor your blood sugar level at home. Maintaining close-to-normal levels of blood sugar has been shown to reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications.

As part of our commitment to your health, we are pleased to announce a new offer.

As of January 1, 2010, ACCU-CHEK® test strips will be available to you and your dependents on diabetic medications at the $5 copay under your prescription drug benefits.

The ACCU-CHEK® products are the Scott & White Health Plan's preferred brand. You can take advantage of the lowest copay for test strips and continue to test for less. If you need to upgrade your current meter, bring a prescription for a meter to one of our Scott & White Health Plan pharmacies. You'll get an ACCU-CHECK® Aviva or CompactPlus system free of charge1.

ACCU-CHEK® systems are known for their comfort, ease of use, accuracy, and dependability. Plus, they're supported by the ACCU-CHEK® Customer Care Service Center. The Customer Care Service Center includes a toll-free number and Web site. It is available 24 hours per day to serve your needs. You can also receive customized e-mails on topics of interest to you if you choose. Visit ... for important diabetes information, news, troubleshooting tips, and answers to questions. You can also get complete instructions on using your new meter.

At Scott & White Health Plan we care about your well-being. We hope this offer will make living with diabetes a little easier for you.
